At the end of 2016, I completed my Interior Design Diploma run by the National Design Academy, Nottingham. The course enabled me to meet so many people with like-minded objectives, to exchange ideas and broaden my skillset and offering to clients. To illustrate this one of my first interior design commissions was working with DAF Trucks UK, in assisting the design of their new hospitality trailer used at shows and exhibitions.
The project required me to develop a complete layout with colour schemes, furniture and fixture and fitting recommendations. It had to be practical as many of the events are staged at showgrounds in all weathers, the colour palette needed to fit with corporate colours, but with a contemporary twist. The completed trailer was recently launched at a staff event and will be used throughout 2017 summer at numerous corporate and trade events.
